The Technics EPA-100 is a great arm out of the box but can be improved. I made a new counter weight and stub. The stub is threaded M12 1.5 brass and the CW is 316 stainless steel with a locking collar. The CW locks rigidly to the stub.
A viscous damping trough was machined from scrap POM I have leftover from making platters.
